squid
just squid, no capitalization ▪ they/them ▪ 25
Hi! I'm squid. I'm a small creature of some sort who lives in Canada. I like cephalopods, visual novels, and doing math recreationally like some sort of maniac.
For the past few years I've been struggling with a repetitive strain wrist injury, so I haven't been able to make as much art as I would like. I'm trying to redirect my creative energies toward less injurious activities like writing and coding with moderate success. Also, having the ability to put "written, drawn, and coded by squid" in the credits of a multimedia web page gives me an incredible sense of power. And so, here we are! I hope you enjoy my very ridiculous content.

[Image description: A pink and cream anthropomorphic squid, oriented vertically, tentacles facing up. It stands on a pair of legs sprouting out of the mantle that end in paws. Its eight tentacles droop over its face like hair while its two arms end in paws and function like vertebrate arms. Small labelled doodles on the side explain that it has claws on the ends of its arms, a beak (eatin' mouth), and a siphon (talkin' mouth), and that it is just a squid but with paws.]
Did you know that adult Humboldt squid reach an average mantle length of 1.5m? That's the length of the body, not including the head or tentacles. Therefore, my fursona is life-sized to both me and the animal.

[Image description: A ghostly white anthropomorphic squid with anatomy similar to the Humboldt squid version. Its arms and tentacles all end in paws. Another version of the image shows that the arms and tentacles can extend to ridiculous lengths.]
Did you know that a bigfin squid's arms and tentacles are identical? Since bigfin squid sightings are very rare, we don't know what they use all that arm length for. It's very mysterious.
